Flowmaster AT Installation

Hello all, hope this isn't too much of a repeat but I am going to be installing my Flowmaster AT systemtomorrow on my GT and I just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything in particular I should be aware of before I begin. It seems quite simple but I want to make sure that I don't screw anything up. Would it be possible to even mess up the engine or anything else when I do this? I highly doubt it but wanted to make sure. I know that for some CAI systems a tune is required. I assume no tune is required for the exhaust but I just want to make sure. Thanks in advance for your help. FYI, I will be putting the car up on ramps for this and don't intend to weld the system.
Thanks again.

If you can turn a wrench, you can install the Flows no problem. You do not need a CAI or a tune to use them - they are pretty much for the sound only (no real HP gains).

One thing you will probably run into is an alignment issue with the exhaust tips. To make it line up properly, do not bend the welded brackets on the muffler - adjust it by working with the mid-pipe clamps in the middle of the car.

+1. that is a great write up. only thing that might be a pain in the butt is getting to the one hangar up behind the quarter pannel. also make sure that you slide the muffler all the way back so they both are even, so your mufflers dont look cockeyed haha. it should take u more than an hour tho. mayb 1.5hr

so would a single flowmaster AT bolt on to a 4.0 mustang?

RE: Flowmaster AT Installation

im not sure if they are exactly the same. they make one for the 4.0. but im not sure if the piping of the gt is the same size as the 4.0.

waite actually yes it would. if a gt takeoff can fit a v6 then that will work too.
