I couldn't launch above 1500rpm's on my "fat" street tires. I installed a set of Mickey DR's and I can now launch at 4k with no tire spin. My et's went from approx 14 to 13.65. Street and track are completely different as far as traction goes. I doubt you'll be able to lanch about 2k rpm's with your street tires. Good luck, I'd love to see you get that low 13.

Also, I have a 93 race tune from B A M A and lca's set to the agressive low setting. I have tokico's that I adjust stiff on the back and soft on the front and I run with no front sway bar to promote weight transfer. 2 things holding me back; driver skill and the track has a slight incline.
not to thread jack but what psi are you running, what mph and duration of burnout (I've been told 30 mph, 5 seconds on mickeys, 18psi)...and are you dumping the clutch, easing it out, also what short times are you pulling? thanks...

im preaty good at launching, and i got some fat tires in the back. 275s
launching on the street and track are WAYYY different. i have a v6 with exaust and intake and i was launching at 2000 rpm. couldnt hook up. tried at 1500 couldnt hook up. 1k is the only way i got my street tires to grip and go. but it was also 90 degrees out. the first time you will learn alot, like i did. i need some dr's haha

at the track all bets are off. I took some 275 Goodyear Eagle F1s to a ****ty track and the best I could cut was a 2.012 60'.

You will most likely run a low 14 due to traction issues on street tires. Come back when your done and tell us your MPH and you can kinda determine about what you would run on DR's.

I run my Mickeys at 10 psi, pulled a 1.69 60'

Street tires, no matter how wide they are you wont get traction for ****, i dont care if they are 335's

I ran at 16psi last friday, might try 15 this friday, it seemed a little squirrely about mid track so not too sure about that. 10psi would scare the crap outta me. My burnout is pretty basic. I get into the water box, doa 1st gear burnout until thecar drifts out of the box and the tires grab. I'm holding the rpm's at about 4k and dumping the clutch. My best 60' is about 1.86 with an average of about 1.93. I'm still new at this drag racing thing so I'm sure I can do better with practice.
