It's about time for them to stop ripping people off and doubling their profits. I'm pretty sure they pay 15-20 percent under MSRP to get those cars from Ford so selling them for the MSRP price would make some profits already, but instead they got some retarded markups.

Reviving a 3-month old post, but for good reason. For those interested, here are some GT500s listed on Ebay (some 2007s, some 2008s) that have a "Buy It Now Price" of around $5k over msrp or less:

If a dealer is saying up front that it will sell a car for $5k over msrp, I guarantee you there is one out there that will sell youa GT500 for less (especially the 2007s that are still sitting around).

yes but eBay Buy It Now Prices can't be used to compare prices in the local market!
Plus there's no way to tell how hard these cars have been test driven, abused, etc. Those photos don't help much. They could be months old.
No I'd say that eBay prices have come down but walk into any dealership that has a new GT500 and I dare you to offer them MSRP for it! Say you'll pay cash if you want an even bigger laugh!

Remember with "I am Legend" coming out in theatres soon, the GT500 markups will be mark, and so will the number of poser GT500s

Dont get used to this.

Damn!! Deals off!!

Airport Marina is the dealership that had $30K markups a few months ago. Could be South Bay Ford at sticker. I'll check Airport Marina next week and see what they're going for.

Sorry for the delayed response (I was out of the country for a few days). My original post referred to the one dealership in Long Beach (blanking on the name, since I've only been there once). Now that you say South Bay Ford has a GT500 for msrp, that's TWO dealers in L.A. within 10 miles of each other selling GT500s for right around MSRP. Both of those dealerships, by the way, sold GT500s a year ago for more than $30k over sticker (i.e., around $75k).

So you can see how the markups have come down/disappeared for the 2007 GT500s. Not sure about the 2008 cars.
