if it's a TSB I believe they have to fix it, period.

A TSB just tells the tech HOW to fix it. If it is out of warranty, and IF the corrosion warranty doesn't apply (most only cover a rusted through hole) then it is not covered. If it is a 2005, it could be under warranty depending on the original sales date.

Looks like I better go get it done ASAP because I have an 05 that I bought used in Feb. so I don't know when the original purchase price was. Can anyone speculate if it is likely that it will happen again a few years down the road? If so I could just get a Cervini but I would rather keep the stocker.

the guy at the dealership that fixed my explorer said he never had one come back. it looked as good as original when i picked up my explorer and the guy was pretty honest with me otherwise...

If in fact it is caused by some sort of contamination at the factory, then, if it is preped correctly this time, it should be OK. There have been aluminum panels on cars in the past that have not had an osmosis issues.

Hood corrosion......
I own a 2010 V6 Kona Blue Mustang. I noticed paint starting to bubble on the passenger side of the hood. I filed a Warranty Claim which was denied because the 5 year window elapsed in September. I can't believe Ford will not cover the repair. It is frustrating and not sure if it will ever be fixed
