Default heads and cams installed

finally had the time to install the ford racing heads and crower cams over the weekend. definately sounds stronger and seems to pulla lot stronger butdefinately needs tuning, I think it hasaffected the way the charge motion plates operate and are slow toopen up, but may delete them tomorrow.will tune it without them first and then install the delete plates and see how it goes.has very little lope, could pass for still being stock to most people. so far I just added about 8% fuel at wot and just drove it about 6 miles.Tomorrow I get to put it on the dyno and dial everything in. hoping for high 11's or 12.0 this weekend on just motor. hope it does not dissapoint. will let you guys know how it does

Don't waste your time with the CMCV's, just get rid of them. See my sig for my mods...my best numbers WITH CMCV's were 342 rwhp/320tq. I finally rid my engine of the CMCV's on Saturday and even without additional tuning (my SCT took a crap), I pulled 350 rwhp/329tq - and it was nasty hot and humid (the weather was dry and cool during the 342/320 pull). Once my SCT is fixed/replaced and we can get some more tuning done, I expect the numbers will improve even more. Prior to the cams and CMCV delete, my best was 306 rwhp.

Whomever is doing your tuning needs to know how to get into the code that controls cam timing.

just got back from a long day at the tuner shop. had several issues with getting the current program to download to the diablosport software for editing but after several hours and finally just putting an older version of the revisions into it everything finally worked. after tuning it we found that one of the plugs had apparently got soaked in coolant when pulling the heads off so we will change them tomorrow and retest. so far it is putting down 30 more hp and pulls strong evenwith a bad plug and havent installed delete plates yet. hopefully results will be what was anticipated when i get the couple little bugs worked out. will update again soon
