My dad has a 2006 mustang and I have a 2007 and we both have Shaker 500 systems and they both have this.

You sure he has an 06? That's the only one I've ever seen with the jack, mine is a very late 06 and doesn't have it. They were supposed to come out on 07's.

I've never heard of the line in being put on an 06, but if it's there, then it's there. I've been using the PIE for over a year now, and about 10,000 miles.

The build date for his 2006 Mustang is 6/6/06 (the day I graduated highschool) and my 2007 Mustangs build date is 5/14/07 (the month and day his father died) weird isn't it. Maybe only late late 2006 Mustangs had it or only late V6's not GT's?

Also Shaker 500&1000 are MP3 CD cappable, which is what I do. When you burn a CD in MP3 format you can put at least 200+ songs on it, also you can make folders; organize it by artist. That is why buttons 3&4 on the Shaker systems say Folder.

You need a PIE adapter model FRDAUX4. They sell them at Crutchfield and alot of other online stores. It will convert the AUX plug on the back of the HU to 2 phono plugs. I went one step further and connected a phono plug adapter to a mini plug and mounted it in my dash next to the HU. It looks pretty stock. I'll try to post a pic.
