Yes less weight more plastic says something doenst it. They really suckedon the over all quality Your only looking at speed. Look at craftmanship ford takes chevy on overall quality. I see this in my aunts top of the line luxury car. Buick Lucern same price as mine and overall cheap *** quality not even close to the craftmanship on my shelby. I highly suggest take a good look at the vettes before you get one. You dont want ot have your fast machine fall apart on the track lol

The Vette will be the better all 'rounder. Sorry, but it's built on a chassis made for $45k+ cars (base Vette), rather than a chassis that shares duty with $18k cars (V6 Mustang). It also has 2 fewer seats, and probably is going to weigh close to a 1,000 lbs less if the porkiness of the GT500 is any indication. But in looks? I am not a fan of the C6 look at all. The Z06 looks fine, but mostly because IMHO of its aura. In black it looks good, but not GREAT.

The newer Mustangs however look spectacular (except for the 4x4 stance). I think they are far better looking cars, and if all-out performance wasn't the point, I'd take the Shelby in a heartbeat. I could even take my family with me for the ride!

So in short -- I'd take the Z06 were I single and wanted an awesome track car, but the Shelby in real life if I had the choice. I probably won't have the choice, since I'm not rich enough to afford either .

I could have afforded a Z06, but we're remodeling our house instead. Better to stick dough into an appreciating asset rather than a depreciating one!
