Anyone else think that the cup holder design is bad?

Hate the cup holders and the bottom of the dash. Pedals are too far back for my legs and style of driving so my knees rub the lower dash when I drive. Hope I dont hit anything ..[&o]

I have a manual and I find that the back cup holder works just great, especially when you take out the trap door. But I have a coffee mug the perfect size for it and I don't use the holder for anything other than that cup. I can see the problems with a paper or plastic soda cup. The forward holder is useless.

I think the cupholder with the little flap taken out is big enough for a large size drink from anywhere. You used it for the shot of juice so you gave up one of the luxuries in our stangs for a great GO mod. Id rather have your mod than my cupholder. Thats just me

Try removing the little riser that's in the second cup holder that's near the center console. i leave it out all the time, you can fit full sized drinks from Wendy's or whatever in there. I tend to put my Rockstars in there

HOLY CH*T, BATMAN! You learn something new everyday. I didn't know there was a rubber thing in the bottom of the rear cupholder! When I read that in these replies I wondered what the heck you all were talkin' about so I went into the garage with a "yeah, right" attitude. That'll teach me. Cool!
And yes, I, too, was annoyed with my coffee mug or soda getting in the way when I shift.
I think the Owner's Manual should start out with : "#1: Read mustangforums.com before proceeding"
