Front end crossmember brace

Front end crossmember brace
I just wanted to do the brace before installing the new
strut bearings. Pics below. Reused an old panhard bar.
There are 1/4" thich backup plates to sandwich the
attachment points. All the holes are right on size. The
side that has the slots have the bolt holesfarther apart
to avoid any slipping under torque.I used flatheads to
locate the brackets for on-the-car tack weldingas the
tabs are slightly bent. The aluminum slugs visable in the
pics are temporary and threaded for the flatheads. I
would guess its overkill but what the hey. Verts have them....
OEM braceis expensive and kinda cheap looking.
Plus I made it myself.

RE: Front end crossmember brace
The CHE rocks but its more than I needed and
I am lacking in the $$ department but have lots
of access to tools to make my own. It also looks
semi-stock except for the performance sticker.
