Fake gas cap

How did you guys make the whole thing chrome and get rid of the black around the GT?

it depends on the badge.....i think the badges on the 05 and 06 have a bubble around it so you cant do it

Yeah, only the 07s can do it. The 05s and 06s have a clear plastic seal over the emblem. Im pretty sure the way they did it was just using some sticky tape to peel the black part off.

I just used some fine steel and the black came right off with a little work.

hmmm... not to hijack , but is there some way to get this clear plastic? I ask because i've had to get the dealer to replace the faux gascap because it as peeling, and I don't want it to happen again
