Hey, if you die, think of it this way. You died doing something you like to do. That's how I look it.

JT, it's good to be nervous about being under a car, it helps keep you alive. If ramps don't work for you, try kwiklift.com. Corvette owners seem to use them a lot because their cars sit so low.

^5 on the Rhino Ramps. I've had both ends of the car on them. Even with the manual tranny, easy to get up on them.

I used a set of $30 ramps from Walmart.

I jack up the car, let it down on the jack stands then put a tiny bit of weight back on the jack so it's like having 3 supports in place....

My car pushes the ramps, so I jack up the front and put the ramps under the car as if it had been driven up on them. Then I jack up the rear and put the jack stands in the factory prescribed location,(in front of the rear wheels) with a second set of jack stands under the axle tubes. Then the jack under the axle pumpkin. Overkill I know but I have this strange survival instinct.........lol.

That's what is commonly known as the "Harbor Freight, Made in a Hurry" syndrome. Buy some real jack stands made in the USA by a company that has to meet forge and steel tolerances that have been established. That crap that they sell that came from China is horrendous. Oh yeah they cost next to nothing. And that will be a terrific thing to think about while you are pinned under your car. "I should have spent the extra money and got some quality stands". Chinese jack stands. That even sounds wrong.
