kill switches

Does anyone here use one? I have an alarm that if its going off the car wont start, but i feel it could be easy to get around. Im no car thief but i feel like i need something more to make sure it couldnt get far maybe like a fuel pump shut off or something. anyone use anything like that?

RE: kill switches

If you have a manual tranny, the easiest kill switch to install is in the circuit of the clutch safety interlock switch, the switch is right behind the pedal. Not sure what you would gain since the Mustang uses programmed keys, but this would keep the car from starting if the thief had your keys if that's what you're worried about.

I have a kill switch on rear bumper because battery has been relocated to trunk. It's not really a theft deterent though. It's a mandated safety requirement and every time it's turned off and back on, you have to reset the PCM from the x-calibur or car runs in safe mode.
