Door lock doesn't work.

I've been out of town for a week and when I got back and tried tounlock the car with my fob, the passenger side opened but not the drivers side. I can unlock the car with the key in the lock but can't lock or unlock with the fob. Before I start tearing things apart, should I even bother? Is anyone familiar with what's behind those door panels? Do I have a chance at fixing this thing or do I need to haul it off to the dealer again?

First question: will your car start? Lots of people have had their battery run down after having their cars parked for a few days. Without battery, no power door locks. If you do have battery, the next question is does your trunk pop from the FOB? If not, I'd guess the battery in your key FOB is dead.

I'd check these out before you go taking the door apart.

The car does start and the trunk does open. I was pretty sure it wasn't the fob since the passenger side opened without a problem. All other electrical seems to be fine as well. It's just the driver's door.

Electrical problems suck ... cart it to the dealer and make them spend a bunch of time looking for it. It could be any number of things.

Whoops, completely missed the fact that you said the passenger side opened. Sorry for the dumb questions! I would bring it to the dealer. I can think of a few things that you could test for, but why should you go through the effort if its covered under warranty? Let the dealer correct the problem.

Guess I'll have to. It's just a pain. It's easier to just pull it apart when I have some time than it is to haul it to the dealer. On the plus side, my clutch pack is starting to go again. Maybe I can combine the trips.

I could give you some voltagecheck points if you can run a VOM.

Any chance it's a blown fuse? Not certain if the door locks are on separate fuses or not.
