Default Mustang GT 1-2 gear burnout

I have a 2007 mustang, and I was wondering if a stock Mustang Gt can do a burnout starting in 1st then going into 2nd. When I tried, the car bogged down in 2nd gear. Any suggestions?

no offense but there are alot of things the mustang doesnt NEED.....its doesnt need 300 HP even, let alone a s/c......we do things for the hell of it.

Yes, it can be done (I have a manual). Back when I was stock, took it to an empty road and see how fast I could go from a standstill until I caught traction and it was in between 4000 & 5000 rpms, so roughly 50 mph.

If you want to continue the burnout as long as possible (which won't be that long) you stay in first; shifting to second is going to end the burnout real fast on a stock GT. ...not really sure either why continuing a burnout in second is something you really want to do but it takes plenty of HP to do that.

It's all about breaking the hold the rubber has on the road (D'uh) so if you can keep the wheels spinning you will manage it on a smooth asphalt. Get a grippy asphalt and I think you'll have problems even using the fabled powershift technique.
Get an S/C and you'll be asking how to keep the wheels spinning in third, not second [8D]

Not something I normally indulge in but Imanaged a burnout for the video after I had my new tires fitted, just to scrub them in [8D] The video shows the second gear continuation of the burnout although I wasn't really expecting it, I thought it would just bite and go as the road was fairly abrasive/grippy, just shows whatI know eh?

TacoBill has some pretty good 1st through 2nd gear burnouts on here. He's not exactly stock but he isnt s/c'd either. Enjoy.
