I considered black stripes and really like the "ghost effect" that they give. A friend said "break out the electric tape" and we laid out some lines to get an idea of how it would look. In bright light it's great. Every other kind of light, you don't know they are there. Ultimately I ordered color samples and settled on Metallic Silver by 3M. I'm very happy with how it turned out. Good luck on making your decision and I'm sure it'll look great in any conservative color.
