Default JLT CAI/B ama tune finally installed..but a ?

And all I can say is WOW! The wife drove it too. When I 1st gave her a ride
and went WOT and chirped 2nd, she started screaming (in a good way) she
said, pull it over and let me drive. She digs it too. Now for the ?
Do the tunes from B ama come with TCS off? I know the light does not turn
on until I press the button. The reason I'm asking is because I still CAN'T
roast the tires when power braking. It's not for lack of know how either,
Im 47 and in my late teens/early 20's I had 2 '65 Chevelles and a '67 Camaro
with turbo 350/400 with a B&M 2300 stall converters. I've already emailed
Doug and asked him to modify the tunes with TCS off.

No the TCS is only off by request because if he sets it off it the tune, the user CANNOT turn it back on. So be sure you want it off the entire time.

Thanks. That's what I wanted to hear. So, even though I'm turning it off,
it must be still kick'n it on a little bit...right? Is there a way for me to test
the different modes? I mean, hell...maybe my TCS is malfunctioning.

It really should not have anything to do with the tune. When you turn it off, it should be off and you should be able to BBQ your tires. Ask him though, he will definitely know better than any of us. Glad you are enjoying it. I just got the race tune from him. Easy install and what a diffrence!!!!

No, its not kicking in 'a little bit'. Thats just wishful thinking. These cars just arent as strong or muscular as you may be used to, its not exactly easy to spin the tires without the right mods.

Trust me, your TCS is off, even if you can't tell.

Well, I am at 5000' altitude...so I know I'm not as strong as the same car
at sea level. I also meant to add that the car sure sounds alot deeper now.
Much improvement.

Yeah that's weird. With the traction control off, you should be able to power-brake it and burn the tires. Now, don't percieve poor traction as "power".

I had an 80's z28 and could smoke the tires all day long. Doesn't mean that car was fast, I think it had 175HP.
