I have mine striped to match the hood. However, mine are painted on not vinyl, not sure how hard the vinyl would be to do.

Not a big fan of non functional hood scoops, but I have a dealer close to my house that spealizes in Roush. The ones that are un stripped looks like crap as it appears it was just plopped on top of the hood.

I gotta agree there. I'd try to find a way to stripe the scoop itself if you want it to look ok

I purchased a Roush hood scoop. My car has the 10" white vinyl stripes, bumper to bumper. I can't decide how to finish the scoop, striped to match or just the car color. All opinions welcomed

I installed a lot of those Roush scoop for customers and they all had a deformation (like a slash) on the top. It looks like a dent actually. I fixed those with a heat gun but no more. I don't get paid for the extra labor.
Check yours carefully and see if you're lucky. You can see it right out of the box and you can feel that indentation by hand. If you have one of those imperfect ones, then you might want to stripe it to attenuate the deformation.
Good luck.

I had the same issue when I got my stripes whether to stripe the scoop or not, I left it unstripped here is my pic

I kinda think scoops look horrible if they're just painted the car color and placed on top of stripes. Really fake cheesy look.....

The best scenario is paint car color and stripe to match. But you could also just do the scoop white and no one would notice the small lack of blue.

Either way, if you just paint it the car color then it looks like you took a piece of plastic and threw it on the hood. Which you did. But people don't need to know that.

Striping looks nice, but I feel it would stick out more not striping.

I pretty sure your car is Vista Blue, but on to the question. Striping it would make for a complete look, painting it V.B. with painted white stripes would be the best result IMO, trying to vinyl stripe the scoop would prove problematic as the vinyl is a pain to work with over contours.

I've thought recently about adding a hood scoop and if I do, I'm going with black. I think they stand out a little more unstriped. JMO
