RE: Best Synthetic Oil/Filter
This is a VERY good read...

Thanks to this article, and this thread, I'm considering switching from Mobil 1's SM to Quarker States Advanced Engine synthetic, which is SL.
Also, im considering not changing the oil at 3000 miles like usual, but rather only the filter and topping off at 3000 miles. And doing the full change at 5000.

oh great, another oil question...[sm=badbadbad.gif]
then come back here and just swear by it... tell everyone about how you tested it in your motor then took it apart and showed a buddy... then mail it in to have it tested and please put some in a skillet and do the old fry test. some of you should work for the oil compaines or drive port-o-potty

For what it is worth:
Mobil 1 Filter and Castol Synthic Blend. Change at least every 3000 miles. Never a problem. Looked into filters and found that Mobil 1 and K&N are rated the best, Mobil 1 is cheaper by 2 dollars.

Kenne Bell highly recommends Redline in the engine, tranny, and diff. Period. No more discussion is needed! This will be the last word and all future discussions are hereby needless, useless, pointless, and of no value whatsoever!!! [&:][&:]
