Default RE: How much spent on mods

I haven't spent the $$ yet (need to sell my other car first), but this is what I plan on doing:

Tune (haven't decided which tuner or where to get it yet) - $400
M-5230-GTA Ford Racing axle backs from Ninosport - $300
20" AR Razor wheels/tires - $1600 (ebay)
Tint - $300
3D Carbon Eleanor Grille - $200
Street Scene lower speed grill - $100
Kenwood DNX-7100 navi unit - $1000 (ebay)
Speakers/Amps/subs - Free (transfer from my old car)
Clear bra (self install from ebay) - $200

Total: $4,100

*I only spent $22.4k to buy my new GT, so I'm justifying most of the additional $$ I will spend on mods by thinking that I could have easily paid $26k on my car.

List is way too long...over $10K and no S/C or Turbo. What's up with that? Oh well, good thing that modding is never truly over, huh?

Actually I think it should have been around $1800 but since I had sent them so much work while I was working at Lone Star Ford, they cut me a little break.

Some of you guys have spent some major $$$ on your Stangs. I bet your wives/girlfriends give you hell about it. When they do just tell them at least you aren`t as bad as bazguitarman. I havn`t even bought my Mustang yet and have already speced out about $20,000 for mods. That`s just the mods I know right now I`ll do. Who knows what will come on down the line.

Stage 1 mods:

* Suspension(Steeda/BMR/Eibach)-$2,012.40
* Brakes(Brenspeed stage 2)-$769.00
* CAI/tune and UDP`s(Brenspeed, C&L "racer" w/Xcal 2 and Steeda UDP`s)-$798.95
* Exhaust(Brenspeed, Mac o/r Pro-chamber & axle back)-$772.45
* Wheels & tires(Late Model Restoration, Shelby Razors 18"x9" & tires w/road hazard)-$1,349.90
* Rear gear/install kit/gear oil(Brenspeed)-$273.97
* Drive shaft(Leonard Racing, Spyder shaft)-$505.00
* Short throw shifter(MGW)-$295.00
* Exterior cosmetic(Silver Horse Racing, billet fuel door, billet rear medallion)-$268.00
* Interior cosmetic(MGW, various billet pieces)-$226.00
* Stereo(Crutchfield, Pioneer/Infinity)-$1,769.88

Stage 1 total- $9,040.55 (without labor)

Stage 2 mods include a forged, stroker bottom end rebuild, Whipple HP SC, 31 spline rear end rebuild with Auburn Ected differential and Moser 31 spline axles, and long tube headers.

Stage 2 total: approximately $9,500.00 (without labor)

Grand total: $18,540.00

Labor will add a little more, but I`ll do most everything myself except for the suspension, rear gear and maybe the SC. I`m actually thinking of driving up to IN to have Brenspeed do the stage 1 install. And to have a dyno tune done

Honestly, I`ve had a lot of fun just doing the research, looking at parts and talking to you guys. I can`t wait to get my GT and start wrenching on it.
