Price the parts he want to sell from the salvage yards. Call the salvage yard, ask as if interested for a particular part and find out what the market supports. What does your friend plan on replacing all these items with.

I want to do some like that if I can find a wrecked 6 banger real cheap.
I'll mod the body to the max and then I'll throw a 427/460 stroker from a 351 block with a 6 speed. Muaaaaah!!

Once you factor in Ebay costs, shipping costs and extreme hassle factor of sending large heavy items across the USA, it simply isn't worth the hassle trying to sell them.He might have some success selling the smaller lighter bits, like the OBC.

Sorry guys, I got carried away. I forgot the reason of my post...
The junk yard is a good way to figure out the market place on that. Also e-bay might be of some help as well. If possible, it would be great to find a potential buyer before tearing the car down so everyone can see and try the good working order of those parts and also have proof of the 8000 miles. Just an idea...
I will never buy engine/drive train without earing it run first or try it and I'm sure I'm not the only one... It's a tough sale.
When everything's in the car, you have selling power but you're limited to locals.

lldesandal when I was looking for a 03-04 Cobra motor came across quite a few used 2005+ GT 4.6's anywhere from 3,000-$3500 w/transwith low milage, autotransonly for saleI haven't seenbut would think around 7-$800.00. You could put an ad in the localauto trader, also one-bay saying local pickupinterested will come from surrounding states if the price is good and low millage.

DS not even worth selling imo, the computer would go with the motor in most cases also I wouldn't try parting out the motor just sell it complete.
