RE: 07 No power and backfiring
Unfortunately dealers can be a pain. It sometimes takes a few to find one with good service techs. I noticed that you said "see a girl". Hence, I take it your female, I know this is stupid but you may have a male friend bring it in for you. I know it shouldn't be that way but it may help. I can remember at least one occassion I took a car in for a friend and I had no problems while they had blown her off several times before.
The whole it's the gas thing (translated your a girl and don't know what your talking about) makes me think this is the case.

Have you ensured there are no issues with the air intake? My JLT worked its way loose recently and sent the engine into fits. Car would fire up but would die quickly, no codes, just wouldn't run. Found the CAI had loosened off at the TB and was allowing too much air into intake. Secured CAI and problem fixed.

How often does it do this? Once a day? Once a week? Most dealerships have a "Recorder" that they can stick in the car for random problems. You'll just have to drive around until it does it's thing.
Are you buying your gas at the same place? If so, switch to a different station....and I would stick with BP for a little while. I would also go back to 87 Octane, unless you do have a tune. You might be getting water, or trash from the station you're buying gas.

My car did the same exact thing to my wife just afew days ago, but she also said when she got home it wouldn't restart. I thought about taking it in but decided to drive it to see if it'll do it again, I've been driving it everyday since then with out any glitch.

Mustangs run on 87 octane not 93 octane. You are damaging it. You would only need higher octane if you had a tune that requires it.
Get rid of the 93, and put 87 in it-- like the manual says and it will be fine. It might take some time and a few fill ups before it gets back to normal.
They are right when they told you to "change the gas".

RE: 07 No power and backfiring
you mention having a CAI but don't say if you have a tune. Did a previous owner mess with the engine?
I would put the stock intake back on. Maybe the dealer sees the CAI and doesn't want to touch your car, thinking you've messed with the tune?
And they shouldn't be recommending 93 octane gas as a cure in a modern automobile!
