I've had time for only 1 coat of ICE and I've put about 3,000 miles on the Stang (a few LONG road trips) and have encountered a lot of rain. Between the rain and washing, I'm amazed at how the water beads. When I hose the car down, I can hardly keep it wet. So, IMHO, ICE protects well, no matter WHAT it's considered... a wax or polish. 2nd coat tonight IF it doesn't rain.

The reason I did bothpolish and wax , is because they were both done AFTER I clayed the car. You are correct, ICE is polish, not wax. Yeah, it will shine it up nicely, but does not have the protective properties of wax.

Again, I have never used the liquid clay bar, just read that it was not very effective. I know how effective traditional clay bar is.......

Read the bottle. It protects sho-nuff.

I have, and yes, it does state that. IMHO, it is not as effective as a combination of both Polish and Wax FOLLOWING Clay bar.......

I have been very happy with ICE so far. I only use the paste and it has a great shine. Seems to protect very well also. I have also heard good things about meguires nxt but haven't tried it yet. I will probably stick with ICE because I know it is safe for my stripes.

I tried for the first time last weekend the ICE car washing, then ICE claybar, ICE paste polish, NXT wax. All of it's great except the claybar. What a pain in the ***. I won't be using that again. The ICE polish takes a little bit of work but combined with the NXT it looks awesome. But DEF! stay away from the claybar.
