ORIGINAL: AmericanMuscle4.6GT

ORIGINAL: nothsa

I'm at 345.9 rwhp N/A and am pulling better times than most blown s197's at the track.

Anyways I have the following "engine" mods:

American Racing Longtube Headers w/ Catted X-Pipe
JLT II CAI
CompCams Stage 3
CompCams Springs/Retainers
FRPP CMCV Delete Plates
Steeda UDP's
Dynotuned with SCT Software

I have about $1,000 in my suspension as well...

and apparently you haven't touched your heads......
x2.
I dont mean to be rude but come on.
From 270 at best at the rear stock, you gained around 80 rwhp by porting the heads, cams, and getting a tune?

You wont see anything over 350 rwhp out of a N/A stang, not happening. Not logically at least. If you spend a ton of $$, stroke it out, blah blah blah sure you may hit 355, but its an extreme longshot, also like $12,000 later. Im happy with my 308 rwhp and the flip of a switch at 422 rwhp and 508 ft/lbs of torque.

Staying N/A on these cars are cool, but there is a limit, and at 340-350 rwhp id say thats a low limit.

Get a turbo with a boost controller, run 4 lbs all day and pump it up when you race. That car should easily last as long as a N/A car. No matter what you put on these cars if the tune is good and you take car of it, it will last.

there's a good, activethread on cams here: https://mustangforums.com/m_3819388/tm.htm

I think 380 rwhp is a reasonable target if you're willing to do the heads. I've spent $3800 on power parts to get to 350 and I haven't even done anything to the heads yet.
