Default Ford Racing and Roush Parts on '07 GT

I have had my '07 GT for about 6 months now, and I love it. I am now ready to take it to the next level.
The Ford/Roush dealership near my city can install the following parts and I will not lose my 3 yr warranty. Here is what I plan on doing...

Roush CAI (Cool Air Intake) w/
Hypertech Program 93 octane tune
Roush underdrive pulleys
Ford Racing X-Pipe
Ford Racing Exhaust (I like the sound of this exhaust more than the Roush)

They said they can install everything for around $2,500.
What do you think?
Should I go for these mods, or do you know some that would work better.
The Roush representative that I talked to on the phone said I would pick up at least 45 rear wheel horse power.

Please Give Me Your Input.... I'm open to whatever will work best for me and my car. Thanks

I'm not sure about the UDP's, but exhaust, intake and tune takes about an hour and a half. Big time rip off.

Get them pups at the stealership to break down the costs
to you for each item and the total labor in hours and cost
per hour. Sounds a little on the high side to me. But what
do I know. Get the breakdown, post it, and lets see what
the forum has to say about the individual prices, totallabor
hours and cost per hour for the labor. Someone saw you
coming. Were you wearing a suit and tie along with some
nice Itallian loafers when you went in for the quote? Try
your rattyist T-Shirt, holy jeans and go barefoot. Works
for me most of the time. Look poor and the prices come
down. Stealerships! Are the scratches and dents that come
with stealership visits free or are they included in that $2500
price?

Default RE: Ford Racing and Roush Parts on '07 GT

Greetings!

One of the local Ford dealerships in Cincinnati charged me for the following modifications on my screaming yellow 2006 Mustang GT ...

Rousch Performance Air Induction Kit Pt# R07060087-13-AA and Roush (401338 or 41339) off-road axle back exhaust system $1,242.70. An obligatory tune was part of the installation.

The work was excellent as the mechanics seem genuinely interested in souping up Mustangs and are willing to let me observe. Furthermore, my warranty is intact. When I first started up the car the sweet sound of the exhausts blew me away. My wife said she heard me fire up the car on the other side of the dealership on a quiet Saturday morning. She still mildly complains about the sound in our garage.

Hope this helps!

Instead of the Ford Racing Exhaust, go with Borla. TheBorlais the same with the million mile warranty.
Have the dealership quote your upgrades then SHOP around, for what you want! If you can put the exhaust on yourself, it is easy, and you can save a bunch.
Good luck and make your Stang the way YOU want it!
