So I painted my stock 17" "Upgraded" rims, as Ford calls them. I painted them black with help from a buddy of mine, just wanted to show the finished product in case anyone had that idea of painting them. I think they came out great and now I saved myself $1200 that can go towards the KB fund. Enjoy.

Thanks guys. I can't take all the credit, my buddy was the brains of the outfit lol We also painted the calipers red which you can only see in one pic.

I agree..I couldn't take those rims in silver, but now I feel like I have completely different rims. What a difference.

they dont shine as much any more though.. a glossy black would look even more nice

Theyactually are pretty glossy in person. I took those pics with my phone cuz my camera is broken so they don't look that great. I put about 3 coats of clear coat on it so they would shine. And prometheus, I never even considered not leaving the lip, I think its a nice contrast to the black.
