Default CAI feeds AC?

I have a question, is my CAI filter what feeds the AC of my car? I feel it's time to replace the filter which feeds the cabin of my car like I have on all my previous cars.

However on this car I can find no such thing. Am I correct in thinking that just the filter of my CAI flows into the mustang's AC? Or is it something else?

It's under the cowl on the Passenger side. I just ordered one from Autozone the other day ... didn't have it in stock. Gonna pick it up later this week and install. $18 for Bosch brand cabin filter ..

Could you be more specific in the location? Where is it relative to? I'm really glad our cars have speperate cabin air filters unlike some cars I've heard mentiontioned which do not.

You mean the cowl on the car itself and not the engine.. if cowl is just said I understand the part of the car between the fenders.

Wow I see howarmat's picture that's potentially the most obscure location possible for such a thing (ever). Interesting.
