All oils are compatible with all oils. You can even mix the weights if you want - if your crazy. They all blend together. Doesn't matter what brand, synthetic or conventional, or weight, they will all mix just fine. Just kinda crazy to do it. To your question, drain and fill it with what ever floats your boat.

Now don't go saying that. Water floats boats. And, why wouldn't you want to "blend" different weights? Maybe a fellow wants to make a custom blend of 5W37.Sort of tweek it to his own special latitude.

Lets not confuse people. While Mobil 1 is extremely engineered to the point that it can honestly be considered synthetic, the truth remains that its base oil is still conventional oil. So sure, its synthetic in a descriptive way, but not an official way.

amsoil and Red line are the only true mass-available synthetics that are built fromscratch instead of from conventional oil.
