? about changing to synthetic oil
Ok, if I am going to change to synthetic oil, do I have to do anything or just drain the regular oil and add the synthetic? With of course changing the filter too. Wondering if I have to flush or anything. Thanks all

No, you are good to go. The oil that came in the GT was a synthetic blend. I would suggest that you measure the oil you put back in and if you have a GT, add ONLY 6 qts. The bottles of Mobil 1 I have been getting lately are not consistant and are off by as much as 1/3 qt in the 5 gallon jugs.

No, they shorted me. I put in 1 jug plus another qt for a total of 6 qts, but the dipstick showed low. Had to buy another qt to top it off. There are those jugs that are fuller than some. I now pick the fullest jug I can find.

I know that Amsoil is fully compatable with dino oils. I'm 99.9% sure Mobil 1 is, too. Just drain and fill.

You may want to open up the block and water spray all of the old oil outfirst.

That ranks up there with feeding sand into the intake while the motor is running to port and polish the heads.
