No, your gas mileage won't suffer. I went from 3:27s to 3:91s in my '04 auto and that's a 4 speed and my gas mileage stayed the same. I got about 18mpg before and after the gears.

How many MPG are you getting in your 05? I'm getting about 21 that is wayyyy better than my 96.

Im just here to recommend something bigger than a 4.10. I just finished installing 4.10's on a 2005 GT and it didnt tickle my ***** what so ever. First is totally useless though. You cant catch traction. I topped off the speedo in it though. DIdnt calibrate the speedo. lol. I was doing 80 in fourth and so i pushed it further and then hit 5th and then stayed in it and good bye speedo. lol. But i was doing 80 and keeping up with other. So im not sure how much off it was.

Keep in mind this is my daily driver so going bigger than 4.10s may be a burden. I dont want to decreas my MPG and I dont want it to be a burden to drive. I drive about 130 miles per day in it.

yeah. Then i would recommend a 3.90. 4.10s are a bit much for alot of miles. lol. You want to reach for a 6th gear. I know i did. Then i drove it around town and was happy again. lol
