Lowering springs w/ stock shocks?

RE: Lowering springs w/ stock shocks?
Your rear will be out 1/4 - 1/2 inch to one side without getting an adj panhard and technically your pinion angle changes so you want an adj LCAs or UCA. You can get by with doing none of this. But the panhard and LCA and UCA are going to be needed if you get a 1 piece DS and the LCAs do wonders for the wheel hop the cars have. So i recommend if you have the money to get some of the suspension done. The dspecs will make a world of difference after awhile becuase the stock shocks and struts are not meant for th lowering springs really so they are going to wear out faster.

RE: Lowering springs w/ stock shocks?
I drove with eibach springs and 20's on my stock shocks for about a year, and although at the time I thought the ride quality was not diminished a whole lot, ever since putting tokico d-spec shocks&struts (a couple months ago) makes it feel like a bentley compared.

I went with Pro kit and still on stock shocks. I cant tell a difference in the ride, as of yet. And it looks AMAZING. To me, i would like a chin spoiler some day and thought sportlines would be too low for me personally. Do recommend panhard bar though. Can get BMR for around 100 bucks on ebay from brenspeed. i think is bmr, im sure if it isnt someone can correct me[]

I have the Eiback prokit with stock springs. The ride seemd a little rougher to me. They are installing D-specs this afternoon. I'll let you know if it feels different.

RE: Lowering springs w/ stock shocks?
I have Roush rear springs on stock shocks. The ride is a little stiffer, but this has nothing to do with the shocks. Like when I go over bumps,I hear and feel them more, but isn't that just a result of a shorter, stiffer spring? I am, however, going to put on the Roush rear shocks as soon as they get delivered just because I want to do it right. I also installeda BMRadjustable panhard rod, which was needed since I am running 295's out back and want to make sure things look centered.

RE: Lowering springs w/ stock shocks?
I went with Prokit and stock shocks because my shocks/struts were not in at the time of install. The ride definitely got rougher. It seemed like over some time the ride got better, but i'm pretty sure it was just in my head. Well after I installed the Ford Racing shocks, the ride definitely got better, almost to the point of stock ride. And yes get the panhard rod. You will need it.
Also, the job of changing the springs/shocks is pretty easy. It can be done by two without experience in about 3 hours.

Your rear will be out 1/4 - 1/2 inch to one side without getting an adj panhard
to the axle. Do the math. Adj. Panhard is hardcore racers.
I dropped 3/4" in the rear and I am only out 1/8". Not enough
for me to worry about. Now stuffing oversize rims and tires in
the wheel wells will require an adj. panhard bar if lowering the
rear.
Springs with matching shocks. OEMs are OK, but why?

No it wont be out that much. 49" long panhard at 2 degrees
to the axle. Do the math. Adj. Panhard is hardcore racers.
