I personally would keep the 06. You will take a huge hit from the stealership, depending on your exsisting loan balance you might even come out financing a portion of it in the new loan. Best advice is to go to www.kbb.com and price your car with options, that way you have an idea what to expect.BTW it sucks but they only give you fair-good trade in value. You will never get excellent.

Forgive me for asking, but why do you want to trade in the 06'? It's only 1-1.5 years old. I would take the 3-4K that the stealership will make off the trade and put bolt on's in the car, just my .02 cents

I don't want to trade in the 06. I just want to refinance with my credit union with 2000 down instead of Captial One where it's at now. You were mentioning 07s so I thought I might get a better deal going that route but I simply just want to refinance my 06 with a different place. =]

Not sure. My Dad financed it for me but now I'm going to get it under my name hopefully with him cosigning. If it's 400-500 I can easily afford it. I'll just have to go down to the dealership next month and see what I can work out with my credit union/dealership. There is one legit guy that I like at the stealership that is good at getting deals.

WTF? Why does the dealership need to be involved? All you need is the payoff amount and where your new bank or credit union needs to send the check. There should be no need to talk to the dealership.

I used to sell Fords and before I left (for a normal job), I picked up my 06 at employee price when Ford was doing the 0% for 72 mo's with all the mods listed in my sig except the cams. No money down came to right at $400/mo.
