Its always easier to blurt out an opinion than to provide factual technical help![sm=icon_blah.gif]

+1 on the opninions being easier.

However, in a lot of cases there's no sense answering a question someone has already taken care of or answered.

basically that is it.....not everyone has technical knowedge and shouldnt answer, but everyone is free to express their opinion.

At least 75% of the time, when someone posts a tech question, it has already been asked and answered MANY times before, yet the OP doesnt ever use search.

But its always easy to throw in an opinion and up your post count.

You are right I guess...

Shouldn't these be in the Off-Topic" section? No real value here... No comment on human nature... Oh well.

It has to do with 2 things...

1. Opinions are new and personal, while tech help is the SAME help that the person could find just by doing a quick search.

2. BOREDOM. Fun threads make me respond, tech help makes me snooze since its always about CAIs or oil!
