As far as 2005 ragtop vs coupe... go with the coupe. The ragtop is hideous on the new stang (no offense to those who like it, just not my cup of tea). The coupe looks much better for 05 than the ragtop 05.
But if we're talking 99-04, no way would I pick coupe. Havin a ragtop is great fun...and I live in Michigan lol. Someone said somethin about girls have verts more than men? Well girls dig teh vert more than teh coupe, at least in my experiences [8D] so works out well for me. I don't think its too noisy, granted I'm not on the highway much...if ever. But when I am, its normal driving to me, I can listen to my sweet exhaust, or turn up the music, either way I don't get the whole verts are too loud thing [&:]. I think verts look fine when the top is up, not really biased one way or the other, its not sexah, but its not ugly either. When the top is down, it looks better than any couple will.
Conclusion: Verts are really sweet IMO, and some of these assumptions I find to be untrue. But since your going with a 05, DO NOT get the vert, stick with the coupe

Man, a hardtop convert is hella better then a softop. I would never get a softop vert for the main reason its ugly, and someone can easily cut into it. Unless i've been living in a cave for the past 10 years, are you saying you can get the 05 GT in HARDTOP OPTION?! Oh man , say it ain't so!
