Yes its a waste of money parts wise... But theres nothing as nice as having someone hand you a fully built car, just like you want it, without you lifting a wrench or wasting a weekend, and all you had to do was ask.

(And pay).

Yes I realize that you can make a faster cheaper SS but it will never be a true Super Snake. To me it would be like barry bonds homerun record or the New England Patriots superior team (thanks to spying A$$hoo) you would know its not real and thats what really matters.(is anybody intrested in buying some organs)

i suppose your right, you must be a die hard collector though, to me anything that looks close to the real thing and is just as fast, in my book, is just as cool.

I just checked my E-Mail and was very surprised about this message.SAI finaly replied back about the Super Snake package that I inquired in April. They want me to call them at SAI in Vegas to confirm a spot on their list. Being that Ill be in Vegas to fire my property management and hire a new one this coming Friday , I will stop in and do the Shelby tour and talk more about price, time frame. But if the cost is 20k to 30k for the SS I may have to pass unless they can finance. What do you guy's think about the SS and is it worth it ?

I think it is more fun to do it yourself...

Do it and if it makes it on a registry asa real SS than go for it. I know they will hold value (sorry, esp. after the Big Man dies) and would be a great collectors car. JMO

It's up to what you're looking for. If you're a collector and are buying the name then go for it. Otherwise just by modifying your GT500 and spending under 10k you could get it to push out way more HP than the SS. And then you could probably get the bodykit and them rims for 5-6k more.

If you can afford it you should get it. Besides, while the regular GT500s get cheaper, the Super Snakes and the KRs will get more and more expensive

You will always be the guy with the GT500 that just came up short of the package. Make sure you get there for the tour before 10:30am or you will miss it and there is only the one tour per day. Awsome place with alot to see and alot going on! Your going to love it. Hope you can make it happen, I'm pullin for ya!

I think its worth it, I live in Las Vegas and was out at the Shelby plant when they had the Snake out and were getting it ready for a show, imho it really has to be seen in person, 27k is allot of money for a upgrade, but I would do it. I get allot of work done at the speedway on my GT at Sin City Kustomz, so I was lucky enough to see the Snake in person
