How much do you think this paint job will cost?
I'm looking at getting the fangperformance shaker kit, and it comes with a new hood
i wanted to get it painted like
keep in mind, the hood comes unpainted, so I would have to have it painted red, and have the black part masked off and painted.
the hood has a point on it, so i'd want it to be body color on the inclining part like this cdc one
do you thinkit looks good?

um, the cdc is like 800 but it looks really cheesy with that huge plastic shroud.
fangs having a sale on their shaker and its 800 with the hood....so i'm just wondering what paint would cost to gauge the damage it'll incur on me.
...also sorta dont wanna cut apart my hood [8D]

Calypso Coral, from 69/70. One of my favorite color... Not really red or pink, just in between.
I'll say it's about 5 Grands to do. Inside the trunk, jambs,engine bay. Twice the labor and all.

sorry, I probably wasnt clear about this
I want to keep the red paint job, but when i repaint my hood, I wanna get the matte blackout on it, as well in stead of just a full red hood

I thought you meant the whole car, like color change etc...
I have the Foose hood (all aluminum) with the CDC Shaker. The trim ring was a disappointment since it's designed for the factory hood (flat). I called CDC and asked them where's the correct trim? Oh, you don't need it with the Foose hood they said. Bull sh#t! The laws of physics don't apply with that hood? Like my taste changes suddenly... Anyway, since I wanted to hide the imperfections, i had to use it.
I took some material offat all 4 corners and use a heat gun to shape it up. Pain in the **** but it looks great now.
