Default Hurst shifter heat/vibration fix

I've been loving my new Hurst shifter, but hated how it got really hot after driving. As Iwas sitting there thinking of how to insulate the handle I looked down at my leftover dynamat from the shifter install. I thought with the metal backing and insulating material that it might do the trick. So I stuck a couple of layers back to back between shifter handle and linkage. It worked wonders for the heat (eliminated it completely) and alsoseems to damp some of the vibration. The gooey stuff also acts a bit like loctite for the bolt. I don't have to worry about it ever getting loose on me now. Here's some pics:

Cool, if you pardon the pun.

Good idea, but MGW already comes with dynamate and a sound deadening material.
