Default 2005 Mustang audio help

Hello all, first time poster and a 2 day old Mustang owner!

I love my Mustang, which is a used one that I got for $12,500 with 45k miles on it, so I'm really happy. Its a 2005 V6 pretty much fully loaded in Lengendary Lime (Shaker 500 6 CD changer, leather, etc).

Heres the question. When I go to insert CDs that I've burned, the system can't play the CDs. Instead, I'll get a little music with a bunch of skipping and then a "Bad Disc" and the system spits it out. These are not MP3 CDs, just plain old burned CDs. Regular CDs from stores work just fine in the system. I want to know if anyone else has this issue, and if its a fixible issue.

Next question. Can anyone tell me how the iTrip or any other device that plays your Ipod through your 2005 mustang works? I don't want to drop $50 on one and then find out it doesn't work.

Thanks

First of all, Welcome
You will find out that the majority of people seem to dislike the shaker series, I just ran into some issues with mine,2006 gt. Search the posts looking for shaker 500 issues. I would guess it is time to just up grade to an aftermarket since you are out of warranty! Good Luck!

Well that explains my "Bad Disc" message that appears at random. Maybe a strange way to get my unit replaced with a "SEEK" button that has worn through and the LED is blinding at night!!!!

Congrats on the 2005 Legend Lime!
My condolences on the Shaker 500! [:'(]

They have had numerous problems but the big reason your cds don't work may have several causes. First, they have to be MP3's and not WMA files. Then you can't just drop and drag MP3's and get 100's on a disk.
Here's a long post that will help you out:
