Default Aftermarket deck w/ shaker 1000?

I want to get an aftermarket deck but I am wondering if I got a deck could I just get a wiring harness for the deck and run my shaker 1000 and have everything work well together?

Just got back from bestbuy they told me I need to buy a 4 channel amp to power my speakers so I can run an aftermarket deck. Does this sound right to you guys?

I am not an expert on the Shaker 1000 but I would imagine the power amp is integrated into the head unit, if this is true you will need a power amp if the aftermarket head end (deck) you choose is only line out. I did not want the Shaker 1k on my car but it was the only car in the area that had everything else I wanted. I did not think the price was reasonable.

The people at best buy must be idiots....this installs likeany other swap. The only this is the subs are power using the remote lead. Check out the Avic-z1 install thread and you will find all the info you need.

So what if I used like a single din deck, just like a normal every day one. All I ever do is listen to my Ipod so I dont need anything fancy. I am trying to keep it sort of cheap. Can I just buy the wiring harness and the deck and install it myself? Or is there splicing that has to be done?

hey man you might consider posting this over in the audio section, you may get more audio guru's helping you out there.

not that the guys above weren't helpful, crutchfield.com is definitely where you should shop, but over in the audio section this is all the talk about.
