Default 07 GT Badge

I am considering getting the fender badges of my 07 GT powder coated black. How are they fastened on? Is it just tape or something more? And what is the best method of removing them without doing any damage to the fender and paint?

tape and pin thru the fender.... If I remember one guy used a heat gun and dental floss to get it off without hurting the paint...

^^^ good advice but if you don't have a heat gun then you can do it the poor white trash way I did that works fine and that is using a hair dryer and a credit card...

As I recall from taking them off, they felt like a white metal of sorts. (I'm at work now, can't check for ya).. honestly I can't see bothering with powdercoating, there is no duarablity issue here. Single stage paint will do.

(hair dryer and fishing line will do nicely for removal)

I was thinking about taking it off and painting it to match to torch red. Good idea? or any?
