spending the money on tint and risking scratches when there's a $30 or less solution to fixing the issue.
Try this place, much cheaper...

Just wanted to post one up here. There is craft store grade Moleskin and Commercial grade moleskin with High temp, high stick adhesive on it. I work at Florida's oldest tint shop, been owned by the same person, under the same name, since 1970!! I instaall Moleskin all the time at the shop. Mustangs will scratch the glass without tint even on it and without a moleskin installed. Ford put too hard of plastic sweepers on the doors and they scratch. I sell moleskin kits with pictured instructions on Ebay cheaper than anyone with FREE shipping ($17.50 shipped!!) and it is High temp commercial grade moleskin. Just do a search for seller moleskinman on Ebay and look in my store. They ship out Priority mail so you will get the kit in 2-4 days depending on USPS. Thanks for letting me take your time to explain.

All I can say is... You get what you pay for!
If it only costs pennies, then it is worth pennies. My moleskin is tried, tested, and tested not only through a tint shop, but a tint shop in South Florida where it is very hot AND very humid and wet. This stuff holds up and mine is much cheaper than tintprotector.com by half the price.

I would not use that free crap unless you intend replacing it every couple months.
My .02 cents!

Thanks,
moleskinman on EBay

I got mine tinted and the reason why you have scratches is that there is little tiny particles of sand and dirt that gets down into your door no matter how many times a day you clean your car they are still there...My scratches are not noticable enough for me to worry about...Its just life

Can someone please confirm that the 2008 mustangs are different than the previous models in regards to the window strip.

I have a 2008 and I want to get it tinted. I keep reading about needing moleskin but when I feel the side of the plastic strip that rests on the inside of the window, it has felt on it. Is this something Ford acknowleged and fixed?

Must be the quality of the tint...I had the same guy tint my 03 GT, my 07 GT/CS, my wife's 05 Altima, and her 07 Murano, with no problems...he uses Lumar tint and does anawesome job installing.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I live in N.J. but bought my new GT from texas with tint already installed. No problems at all.
