Neew Guy here with a few questions!
Hey everyone, first post here!
I have been trying to make up my mind on a car that I want lately, first I wanted a truck... but decided I didnt need one yet and since Im young.. I'd like to get a muscle car and kind of make it into a "project" if that makes sense.. So once I got that far, it was either a 2006 GTO or a 2006 GT... and I decided I want a mustang... Im 110% sure of it.
But here goes the questions and I hope you guys/girls can answer them all for me.
I wont be able to get a brand new one, but I can afford a 2006 GT... I was going to save around $4,000 and use that as a down payment, so it'll be around March of 2008 before I will prolly be able to get it... B
Are there a lot of problems with the 2006 GT's ?
One of the first things I want to do to the car is get a new exhaust/headers and give it a really loud/mean sound... I heard LoudMouths were good.. but What do you reccomend and what about H pipes or X pipes, which are louder?... And im talking MEAN SOUNDING.. When I rev it, i want it to set off car alarms :] (Maybe not THAT loud) But what exhaust/headers do yall recommend?
I also want it lowered a little, maybe 1.5icnhes/2inches.... not much.. So what will I need to have that done and can I do it myself? Im not the smartest when it comes to cars but my dad knows a bit...
Thats it for now, being those are the only things I want to get done first.. Exhaust, Body Kit....
I'll want new rims too....soon after I get it... are there any websites that have all of these products im talking about that I could get online and install myself?

Abotu the body kits, can they be put on by me.. or would I have to have someone do it for me.. after I get it painted

Welcome. A 2006 GT is not bad at all...heck, that's what I have. As far as mods, dang, you are in the right place. Feel free to roam aorund and check the topics, there's all sort of info on every subject you addressed above.
