2007 Mustang GT vs. 2007 350z Touring
OK, check this link out:
Super Long Edmunds Link
Now this is a link directly from Nissan's website to compare these...but start actually reading the comparisons, and the Mustang seems like the better car! Oh wow, so the 350z has 6 more STATED hp at 1200 more rpm...wow! Notice how they don't state torque! And look at all the other ridiculous things they compare - ventilated passenger seats. Who cares?!
LOL I think if I was reading this from Nissan's website, it'd make me want to buy a Mustang GT instead...especially if you look at the price difference for our not-even-top-of-the-line-Mustang vs. their top-of-the-line 350z Nismo or Touring edition. If they wanted a real comparison with top of the line and price range they should've compared against the Shelby 500. LOL
Oh man, Nissan is hilarious!!!
EDIT: That link was just too darn long, so I made it shorter - 28HopUp

Actually... Everything I read seems to point to the 350Z being the better car overall, or being equal.
Except the part where its $9K more, in which case I would've closed the page and went and bought the GT immediately.

HAHA!
I missed the performance numbers. But the Z does have heated mirrors and radio controls on the steering wheel. It is such a stretch to turn the volume up.

First of all - Nice 1/4 mile time on your stock GT!!! (is that typical?)
About the article - did I miss it or are there no real performance comparisons - e.g., 1/4 mile time, 0-60 time, etc... Would have been interested in these. Either way - it's definitely Mustang hands down!
Thanks for the post.

It would have been nice if we had the option of radio controls on the steering wheel. A lot times in traffic, I don't bother messing with the stereo just because that's an accident waiting to happen.

Nissan isnt that bad. Their Altima is a 3.5 V6 laying down 270 hp. If I remember right and please correct me if Im wrong, but fords V6 is a 4.0 and puts down only 210 hp. [sm=laughat.gif]

I have to say the 350Z is a VERY nice ride. If I was going to buy non-american car, it would top my short list. However, the beautiful music my stang makes when she screams down the road carries a TON of weight with me (and any red-blooded american guy it seems as seen by the number of thumbs up I get whenshe opens up). A buddy I work with has a 350Z and it sounds like afood processor . VERY nice ride though, I have to say...

Yeah but don't forget that it's company's politics... They don't want the V6 to be too close to the GT or they'll have to bump the V8 performance to 400 horses stock. I won't complain but the price tag will raise.
