hey, thanks for all the advice guys, i appreciate it. well, today i went to several dealers, and it seems like an 07 v6 should run around $18000, and 07 gt's are gonna be around $22,000. i figure if I cannot get a good price on the 07 i want, I might as well throw rationality to the wind and order a brand new grabber orange 08 with racing stripes. in any case,hopefully all goes well and i should have some pictures of a shiny new stang to post up pretty soon.

Picked up my brand new 2007 GT in December for $23,800. Keep talking them down....it's not fun but stand your ground and they will come way down.

I would go GT if I were you if you're talking about spending low 20s.

I was at the dealer last week and was priced a GT 5spd (NEW 07) for 23k and that was just the starting point. I just asked him what kinda price I was looking at....so you might could get them down cheaper than that even.
