hahaa i love how i get attacked for stating an obvious point. He says in his story that he didnt see the car in his rear view mirror which means he didnt check his side views. I have a lot of friends who change lanes and back up only using their rear view mirror which leaves huge blind spots. Its unsafe to drive without using all your mirrors. If he used his side views he wouldnt have gotten into the accident.

Its a shame you guys think I am attacking him because I am not. I am mearly trying to give him some "advice" if you will for the future since its a damn shame he had to get into an accident.

Look at the diagram again. If I would have looked out my driver side mirror I wouldn't have seen him anyways, cause of the staggered parking lot. If I would have looked in my passenger side mirror I would have seen a parked red car... I always have my head turned around while backing out while looking around as much as possible. I use my head not my mirrors... He was in a complete blind spot at all times while I was moving. The only thing that could have avoided this situation is one of us not being there...

Thats why I check for people sitting in cars around mine
when I am exiting the store. Be aware of your surroundings
before you get into a box with limited vision.
Not to be harsh or anything Boozshey.

Oh it's nice you can try and chime in once again, but what I find funny is how all the the guys that drive a V6 seem to know how to drive better than everyone else....

I guess you took my sugesstion wrong.
I never made it a V6 thing, you did.
Never said I thought I was a better driver, you did.
You gotta do things your way and not be
open to suggestions. See what it gets you?
I made some friendly comment and got
a snide remark. Gees, you posted and didnt
expect to get driving suggestions? Just what
did you want from your post. Sympathy?

Looks like a 50/50 to me, sorry about your luck! This is one of the reasons why i hate parking lots! If i am forced to park in one for what ever reason, I try to back in to the spot! Same thing happened to my wifes car, clean hit, flush to flush bumpers no damage other than a paint scuff! Then she backs into a mail box the next day! GRRRRRR!
