Looking to upgrade 2 a touch screen dvd/cd/mp3 type setup...
Anyone have any good suggestions on an affordable head unit...
I really like the Pioneer Avic D3 but i cant afford the $1000 price tag they have on them in stores...

eclipse 5500 on sale @ crutchfield.com right now... you could find a d3 on ebay cheaper but id go with the eclipse simply because it keeps the nav and cd's seperate

z1/z2.....no nav disks, HDD basic for music and nav. DVD playback, etc.....the king of all nav units!

I'm going pioneer d3, you can scoop one up for about $800 on ebay. I chose it because it can do everything I want, bluetooth, xm, navigation and ipod control. Only drawback is the dvd has to be in the drive when useing the nav. I will not have a issue with this as I rarely play cds. I didn't go with the eclipse because they don't support xm only sirius. Pioneer does add up though when you start adding all the bells and whistles (xm is $100, bluetooth is $149 and ipod is $28). Can't wait to get mine
