Should I wait for the 2009?
I was planning on purchasing a 2008 GT premium this Spring. I was looking to see if there were any changes coming down the pike. I have read several posts that say HP will be increased to 350 for '09 and a slight mod to the front end. With that being said, I really like the retro of the current stang. Does anybody know how soon they will reveal the next body style and specs? I would hate to wait until the last minute and have them completely redo the current design and be stuck.

I might be wrong about this but I think the next body style isn't due until 2010, so It won't be available to buy until September 2009. You will probably see what it will look like in late winter or early spring 2008.
The front end changes you are referring to are going to be done on the current body style. The spy shots show the current model with the front covered up. This will probably be the 2009 version (but not the next model).
And I think the HP increase is just rumors for now. You can add 30 HP at the wheels (about 45 HP at the engine) just by adding a CAI and tune. Don't wait around for Ford to do it.

+2...besides... you can just mod the heck out of it now anyway! Looks and engine
! There is ALWAYS going to be another body style coming out in the future sometime... If you follow that logic, you'll be waiting forever. I say buy one NOW! and see if you can grab an 07 at a great discount.

buy now! there will always be something better coming out in the future. you r wasting time by waiting when you could be driving and modding a mustang right now. i'll bet most people on this forum wouldn't wait, they would buy now and mod it themselves. i think you came on this forum for reassurance to buy now, so here's some: buy it now!

with all the crap going on in the world today, why wait? There might not be a 2009, and if there is and you like the new 'stangs better, trade up. Carpe diem, my man!

wow...im kinda surpirsed. I would wait it out if it there going to change the 09 model. What if the 09 a 1000x better, you'll go nuts. and if you dont really care; about the new style,you prob can get a 08 fora steal you know?

I read the next generation "Hurricane" engine will produce more like 400HP from the factory.
