Default Will you be upgrading to HD Radio?

Ford announced that they will have HD radio as a dealer-installed option on most 2008 models.
Here's the story from AP:
Ford Motor Co., which has rolled out Sync, its in-vehicle communication and entertainment system developed with Microsoft Corp., said HD radio would offer another new entertainment option sought by tech-savvy consumers."We're trying to stay right on top of that and be on trend and have the items available when they're ready for the consumer," said Roger Sears, Ford's license accessory manager. The option will be available for about $279 for standard HD radio, or $299 for HD radio with iPod compatibility, Sears said. There is no monthly subscription fee and the installation will take about 30 minutes and cost $40 to $50, he said.Owners of most vehicles built from 2005-2007 will be able to have HD radio installed on their vehicles, Sears said.
So who thinks they'll upgrade the Shaker for $279 +40 or 50 dollars???

FYI The HD radio on the FM band are the stations that end in an even number.Such as 93.8 or 101.2, a non HD radio tunes to odd numbers 93.7 or 101.1

If you want to hear some HD stations on your computer, try this link:

I don't know about the quality and strength of the stations yet, but I will be installing a HD module once I get some time. I listen to it at work all the time.

No it doesnt come with a module but I am sure I can hook up one, but with the Z1, I can have XM, Siruis, TV, DVD, IPOD, the music stored on the HDD, AM/FM and CD so i think i am covered on what I want to listen to. IF the price comes down i might look into HD radio but @ 300 its not worth it IMO

No upgrading here to HD.
I am going to give it few years
and see ifthe HDidea and available HD stations
die or dont exist in quantities to warrant upgrading.
Seems this satellite thing will squash the HD radio
idea.
