Note: after this article, Pontiac anounced the 05 GTO will use the 05 C6 Vette, 400 hp engine.

Still costlier though !!

? The GTO already has a 400HP Engine

Also funny how the 400HP GTP 1/4 mile is 13.3 and the 05 Mustang is 13.8. 100 HP more and only .5 difference.

Magazine times mean nothing. How does the Mustang get to 100 in 13.2 but take another .6 to get to 102 where it traps. The new GTO runs 12.7 with a manual, not a 13.3. The mustang is low 13s and the GTO is high 12s. The auto GTO is low 13s and the auto Mustang is mid 13s. The GTO is also heavier than the new Mustang.
