Hey guys, i am new to the forum. I just bought a 07 black GT A/T and i am taking it to the track tomorrow night to see what it can do. I was wonderin if someone could give me some pointers on how to run the car. I have never raced but have been to the track.

Don't you wanna break it in a little first?
Call me 'tupid but I wouldn't mess up a brand new car.

I would wait until you put some mileage on the car first and make sure everything has worked itself in. give it at least a month of driving.

Screw that break it while it's under warranty .
Raise the front tire pressure and and drop the rear pressure. Not sure what people put the stock tires to in the rear. Also make sure that traction control is turned OFF!!!

+ 1, Unless you bought it used, and it already has some mileage, I'd give a little break-in time before heading to the track. I can appreciate your excitement, but all good things come to those that wait.

Yeah you need to break it in first but I know you'll still go to the track anyway... lol I know I would!

So like prometheus said make sure the traction control is OFF! and also keepthe overdrive off if its a short track, (the button islocated on the right end of the shifter) it will help shifting coming out of corners.
