Summit Racing Hood Pins Installed - Pics
Well, I tried these hood pins 1st:
But, due to the angle of our hoods, the lock & pin didn't line-up straight enough for the locks to work. So, I went with these standard hood pins from Summit Racing
I went with the Summit pins, because they are 1/2" pins. Most other brands are 7/16". I might look into having these done in Black Chrome, if possible? I'm happy with the way they look.

Dang that looks good. I just don't have the cajones to drill into my hood yet. I have the redline hood struts coming so that should give me some drilling experience. Maybe after that is done I'll tackle the hood pins.

Wondering if you found a source for black chrome or anodized black hood pins.

The reason, Everything in this kit is Stainless Steel. The chrome one's I had installed before, look really good. But, after only a few months, they are starting to show rust. Everytime you remove the hairpins, they scratch the inside of the main pin. Then, after a little while, inside the hole starts to show rust. Plus, when you remove or install the hair-pins, they also can scratch the scuff plates and then the scratch will rust as well. But now, with this set, that won't happen. Worth the money, so if your going buy a set, just get these. I will try to get some new pictures, once the weather gets better.

Looks pretty simple... everything is under the hood. You can download the instructions (pdf file) here: http://redlinetuning.com/online_manuals.html
I just need to buy a new riveter. Mine is over 20 years and doesn't work for chit any more.
